Internet Marketing For Online Business

Internet marketing for your online business can be confusing, especially if you are not familiar with all of the different aspects of website marketing. This is why it can sometimes be hard to determine exactly which marketing method to use.

Many business owners are afraid to choose a marketing strategy because they fear it will not pay off. Others don't care and are willing to try virtually anything. No matter which category you fall into, you will have to eventually make a choice. Every online business needs to advertise in some way if they want to compete. At some point, you will have to take a chance. It is only after you have developed and implemented a website marketing strategy that you will truly be able to determine whether or not it was a success.

Though there are many different website marketing techniques, there is really only one way to judge the success of your online campaign. Follow-up. If you never follow-up on your marketing decisions, it will be impossible for you to determine whether or not you should continue with a specific website marketing strategy.

See, a website marketing campaign is just like any other marketing campaign. Once it is over, the results need to be analyzed and measured. Follow-up is especially important when it comes to Internet marketing for online business, because there are so many methods of advertising. By tracking your results, you can determine which methods of website marketing were effective and which methods were not. You can then adjust your methods accordingly.

If you have never tracked your website traffic or the results of a website marketing campaign, it may be hard to determine where to start. However, you shouldn't become frustrated and give up too soon. Results tracking is very important if you want to make sure you're not throwing your advertising money out the window.

The easiest way to track your site visitors is by viewing your website's logs. These logs are a record of your site visitors and can help you determine where the traffic on your website came from. By viewing these logs, you will know whether or not the visitors were a direct result of the website marketing campaign.

Just about every web hosting company provides this service to their customers. If your web host does not allow you access to these logs or if they will not send you weblog reports, you may want to consider switching web hosts.

If switching hosts is not a viable option, you can also purchase one of many software programs that are specifically designed to help you track and analyze your website marketing efforts.

Results tracking is an essential part of Internet marketing for online business. Without it, you will have a very hard time figuring out exactly how effective your website marketing campaign is. You would never know how a website visitor found your site and you would never know which advertising strategies were failures.

Effective Internet marketing for online business brings traffic to your website and then converts that traffic into paying customers. When you can accomplish this conversion on a regular basis, you will know that your website marketing strategy is truly a success.

Comprehensive Internet marketing for online business is more than just launching a campaign. You must also take an active role in market research, strategy development, campaign design, risk management, and quality control. Then, by carefully monitoring and measuring the results of your website marketing efforts, you can

Tips To Increase Website Conversions

One of the biggest myths online is that it’s acceptable to have a conversion rate of 1% or 2%. Although this is the average, it IS possible to far exceed this. So if you’re sitting comfortably thinking you’re doing as well as you can. Think again!

Many sites have double-digit conversion rates. Although it takes work to initially get to that point, you’ll reap the rewards for a long time to come.

These great tips will help you get started:

- Use audio on your website to sell. If your site’s purpose is to sell a product or service, EVERYTHING on your site should be used for selling – including audio. Instead of an audio introduction from you like many sites have added recently, create a powerful 30 second commercial that tells people what you offer, the major benefits of purchasing from you and/or why you’re better than your competitors. You don’t have to use a hard sell approach. Keep it conversational and show your enthusiasm – but make sure they’re given information that takes them one step closer to buying!

- Make it a goal to create a “sales system” that works. Your ultimate goal should be to create a system that you know (with complete certainty) will make a sale to a certain percentage of people you put into it. This system should be mapped out from start to finish – that is, from the time a prospect first arrives at your site until they are a lifelong customer. Get started creating your system by planning out the steps you’d like customers take (or if you already have customers ask them what steps they took). Once your website, marketing materials and advertising plan are set up to work with your system, track every step and make improvements as necessary to make it as efficient and profitable as possible.

- Make your site navigation simple and straightforward. Studies show that when a customer cannot find what they’re looking for in less than 2 minutes, they leave and usually never come back. Make sure you don’t lose their attention by providing a consistent navigation system on every page. Also, remember that a link to your home page from every other page on the site is essential. That way, if the search engines bring a potential customer to a page other than your home page, they’ll be able to easily find their way around.

- Make it a habit to ask customers how they found your site. Although you should be tracking all of your site traffic it’s also a good idea to add a field to your order form asking people how they found your site. You may be surprised by the answers! This is another way to get a detailed picture of the best places to get targeted traffic from.

- Get their contact information so you can follow up with them again. A potential customer has to hear your message an average of 9 times before they purchase something. If you consider that only 1 in 3 messages actually gets read, you have to contact people an average of 27 times before they’ll be ready to buy! Therefore having a strong follow up system in place is key. If possible automate this with an autoresponder series using a service such as AWeber (http://www.aweber.com). This will allow you to set the messages and forget them!

- Make testimonials and endorsements credible. The best way to do this is to include lots of information on the person who submitted it. Some information to consider using is their full name, city and state, URL, photo, signature or an audio testimonial/endorsement. If the person is willing to take phone calls from potential customers then also include their phone number.

Website conversion rates of 1% may work for other site owners; however when you want to maximize your returns, 1% is just not enough. You must increase your conversion rate to increase earnings, and using the tips above is the perfect place to start.

The Hard Truth About Multi Level Marketing

You might as well know that many companies are using multi level marketing plans to market their products.

Can you make money with their MLM plans?

First , let’s examine what they will tell you about their MLM products :

1.The world is your market place.

2.Our products is the best in the world and everyone will need it.

3.Our members are making thousands of dollars per month.

4.Your income is unlimited.

5.Work in your spare time/part time.

Now , let’s go to the brutal truth about what they claim :

1.Their products will be too expensive to buy because they need to pay the uplines when someone joins under them.

2.Its just sales pitch to say that their products is the best because if its really the best then it should be available in all shops and stores in the world.

3.The person who join early will get more money than those who join later due to the matrix calculations.

Not all members will get thousands of dollars per month , many will get nothing if they did not recruit anyone or their down lines are not active promoting the products.

In fact it is a fact that about 97% failed in their MLM ventures & only 3% succeeded.

4. You will get nothing if you or your up line did not recruit your downline continuously.

5.In MLM , working in your spare time is a false statement because you need so much time to recruit your downline and you even need to work harder than your permanent job.

How did I know about all this?

I knew because I join 2 MLM companies and what they said is the opposite of what I need to do in order to be successful in MLM.

To know more about MLM scam , type “MLM scam” in the search engine and read all you can in thousands of websites about MLM marketing scams.

Harris describes the types of people who make up this group in his first chapter. The fact is that many follow a path which is destined to fail, ignoring the methods that bring success, and instead trying to create their own business model from scratch. Harris explains in his 75-page eBook why "stealing" the ideas, methods and business model of the successful few (in a totally legal way) is the only way to succeed alongside them.

His methodology is structure across 5 levels, which can be implemented in order, and form a great blueprint for total beginners to follow:

This section deals with Headlines, finding the killer phrases that work, and attract the maximum number of potential buyers to your sales pages. There are a couple of great bonus packages here, which will help you to choose the Headlines that best fit your business or product, without infringing on anyone else's copyright.

The Top 4 Reasons You MUST Consider When Choosing an Affiliate Program

Choosing the right affiliate program is vital for your success in making a successful career of affiliate marketing.

Time is precious and you do not want to invest too much of it on programs that are never going to pay off.

As I am sure you are aware, there are many internet scams out there - so you need to be careful before investing your time and effort in any one direction.

In this article, we're going to learn how to distinguish an excellent affiliate program from a rather mediocre one. Yes, indeed. Not all affiliate programs are built alike. Some are simply better than others.

I personally spent at least two years flitting from one program to another and even got involved with the occasional scam. I lacked guidance and lost $1000s trying everything possible to become successful.

I made a few dollars here and there so I knew it was possible to make money online. I just needed a break or someone to put me on the right path.

Here are some points that you need to consider when choosing your affiliate program:

1. How much is the commission rate being offered by the affiliate program? Obviously, you want as high a commission rate as possible. Who wouldn't, right? True, but there is no point gaining 70%-90% of the sale if the product is crap:-) - which leads me on to my next consideration.

2. How sellable is the product? If you are going to spend time and/or advertising money promoting a product then you must check to see if there are other people finding success selling this product.

A good place to start is Google. If you find advertisers on Google selling this product through Google adwords, then you can be sure there is a profit to be made.

You can also do a quick search of topical online discussion forums where you will find the unbiased reviews and testimonials of other entrepreneurs and internet marketers.

3. How credible is the affiliate program? Is there a big, well known Internet Marketers' name on the product? Do they have a track record of great products and satisfied customers.

You do not want to be known for recommending second rate products online.

Building a trustful reputation online is a massive part of becoming successful so it is extremely important that you only recommend products that yourself and others have found to be useful.

4. How and when will you get paid? There are various ways you can get paid your affiliate commissions. I prefer a straight bank transfer to my account. The most commons methods are by company check or via Paypal.

Paypal is an online payment system that will transfer any money you accumulate directly to your bank account. It is free to join but they will take a small charge for each transaction.

Some affiliate companies pay weekly or fortnightly but the vast majority pay once per month. I would not join a program that paid me less frequently than monthly.

Choosing your affiliate program is only a beginning but if you choosing wisely could make the difference between the success of failure of your affiliate marketing business.

Selling Your Product Online Is Not As Hard As You May Think – Few Easy Steps

The prevalence of selling product online is increasing by the day. Why? Because even when you are peacefully sleeping, you can be assured that your product is being viewed without you having to do anything.

Of course, this is not always the case especially if you have just started promoting your product. There are still a lot of things that you need to do to get your product or service to the online market. Most often than not, a tremendous effort on your part will be required.

Selling products online can be done in several ways. In fact, there are so many ways that you will have no excuse for not succeeding in the business you want to venture in.

One way of selling products online is by joining subsisting domains like the widely known amazon.com. You can list as many items as you wish to sell and for every sale, you give the site a percentage of it. So, there is mutual relationship. They help you and you help them.

Another way is through auction sites such as eBay where you can post your products and allow people to bid for how much a product will be bought for.

Now, if you do not want to join any other website, then you can opt to set up your own online store. However, this may cost you a big amount of funds. You will have to spend for registering a domain name, website hosting, software for e-commerce, website development and maintenance, internet access among many others. You also need to hire a professional to work on your website design and everything else that is needed. A lot of time and effort is required if you choose this option.

You do not always have to spend a great deal just to sell your products online, though. You just have to learn to be resourceful and strategic in finding means to get your products online. One way is through direct mail. Nowadays, it has become almost impossible to make use of email to introduce your product to prospective buyers because of spam filters. However, there is actually an option to buy or rent a mailing list that will help you reach potential customers.

Another is through blog. If you have one, you can actually make use of it to advertise a product or products that you want to sell. You just have to build traffic to your blog so to make sure that your product is being viewed. Get more subscribers as much as possible. You may also use your blog to inform people about your product.

Ezines could also work for you. If you can make quality write-ups about your product or service, submit them to any popular ezine sites. It can also help if you write about other interesting and unique topics. Just make sure that you have your signature box ready with your product name, URL and a brief description. By writing free informative information that might be of interest to more people, you are at the same time promoting yourself and your expertise to thousands of online business persons online. You will build credibility and they will trust that your products are good.

Selling products online should be easy. You just have to find the right technique to get potential customers and successfully make a sale.

What Is The Best Way To Select An Affiliate Program?

Selling products and services through the Internet is unquestionably easier and much more rewarding compared to traditional marketing methods. The fact that there are millions of people worldwide logging online each day and there is an enormous possibility for any merchant to sell his or her products and generate huge income.

However, marketers are not the only ones who can benefit from online selling. A booming industry nowadays, provides a tremendous opportunity as well to individuals as affiliate marketers. In affiliate marketing, an affiliate marketer doesn’t need to have his own products and or services to sell. All he or she needs to do is to refer people to the merchant’s business site for them to buy the products and thereby, receive a commission.

The major factor to an affiliate marketer’s success is to choose a good affiliate program and to employ proven marketing techniques in promoting or selling the products to consumers. Why select just the good and not the best affiliate program? The reason is that no one affiliate program is the best affiliate marketing program, as one program might make one affiliate marketer a millionaire and the other a frustrated marketer. In other words, any affiliate marketing program can be a success to one and a failure to another. But there are many good affiliate marketing programs to start with. How to make it the best depends on you.

But before you think how you are going to make it the best and financially rewarding, first think about how you are going to land on a good affiliate program with the thousands of affiliate marketing opportunities going live on the Internet today. Review the following tips and suggestions on how to best select the affiliate program that’s right for you.

This is the information you must have in order to make the right choice. It is helpful when you have already focused your search to a specific interest or niche market, which may also be the theme of your website (if you already have one). In this way, you would be able to direct yourself towards a program that really matches your needs, wants and resources. It would be easier for you to eliminate options that are not suited to your own criteria for a good affiliate marketing program. You should join affiliate forums for some tips, tricks and techniques and get suggestions from experienced affiliate marketers. However, make sure that you weigh all of their ideas before you buy into them.

The Internet Affiliate marketing program networks are good places to look for choices. Here, merchants and affiliate marketers like you meet. The merchants advertise their affiliate programs to interested affiliates who sign up in the network for free. Third party affiliate program networks are helpful since they provide you with access to a large number of advertisers (merchandisers) simultaneously. You can easily track and compare their sales records, performances, benefits, products and services.

So now you have choices, the next question is among all theses options, which program is the right one for you. Consider these things when deciding which programs to take and which programs to reject.

First, what is the quality of the products and services? As a professional affiliate marketer your goal is not only to make visitors of your site click the link to the business site; but more importantly, to promote the product so they would buy it. If your customers are not convinced when they visit the business site and place an order, you don’t earn a commission. Make sure the products you are endorsing are worthwhile. Ask yourself this: if I were the customer, would I buy it? Would I recommend it to my family or good friend? If you can’t convince yourself or your family and friends to buy it, take a look at your next option.

Second, check into the affiliate program or the merchandiser’s history. Review their previous and present sales data, their proven and tested affiliate marketing systems and their partners’ experiences with them. Although, success of the program really depends on the individual, this one is still very important. The sales records will not only show how good the affiliates are, but they speak about the products’ reliability, market availability and the company or the merchandisers’ reputation as well. Be sure to look into and carefully study the company’s compensation plan. Your purpose for joining the program is to earn money, so make sure you’ll be paid fairly for all your efforts.

Be sure to check if the merchandiser provides banners, graphics and articles. Only select affiliate programs that provide these for your web site because if they don't, you will have to create them on your own. It is a major plus if the company provides training on how to effectively market their products online. Don't forget, affiliate marketing is a partnership, so make sure your partner is able to support you as you help them promote their products and services.

Take down all the advantages and disadvantages of each program you are considering so you can clearly see the difference among your options; then compare the advantages of the programs with your own checklist. Take time to gather all the information you need to choose the right program. Remember an informed choice is your best choice.

Rapid Cash Generator:How to benefit and make an online business with Rapid Cash Generator.

Finding markets for book info products, this can be quite stressful, time consuming and disheartening. The markets are there and can be found with knowhow. In this article I'm going to show you a simple strategy you can use for finding as many niche markets to sell ebooks to as you could want.

http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/

The above resource won't cost you a penny to sign up to. Go to the above site and start typing in niche markets that interest you. If you had an interest in dogs you'd type in "dogs, if you had an interest in "sailing" then you'd type in "sailing." Then all you need to do is make a list of all of the sub niches within the general niche market of dogs and sailing. These are all potential niches for you to exploit.

http://www.amazon.com

The bookselling giants amazon.com are an amazing resource for finding niche markets you'd never have thought about entering. Go to the web site and in the search bar select "books". Then type in a niche you'd like to create a product around. For example type in "gardening". Go through the results and start jotting down all of the niche markets that jump out at you.

When many people hear this technique they immediately think "wait a sec how can I compete with Amazon?". You won't be of course you'll be catering for a different market. As ebook publishers we can offer instant gratification as our customers get our info products straight away as a download and do not have to wait days for a book to arrive.

Downloadable info products are seen to have a higher perceived value. You might be able to charge fifteen dollars for a book selling it via Amazon. However if you sell a downloadable info product you can charge up to fifty dollars. Crazy but true.

http://www.dummies.com/

This is another fantastic research tool for the niche ebook publisher. You can find a ton of niche topics across all of the "…For Dummies" books. The Dummies company has made creating niche products an art form in its own right. Search through their titles in general niches that interest you and jot down potential ebook topics.

http://www.goarticles.com/

Article directories are the best way to find subjects to create ebooks around. The directory Go Articles is just one of many in which you can go to the site, type in a niche subject in the search bar and get literally thousands and thousands of ebook ideas. All without cost.

The key here when visiting these sites is to just make a huge list of potential topics, and then when you're done go to http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/ and type in your topics. If there are people searching for information on the subject (at least five thousand a month) you've just found an ebook topic that could turn into a very lucrative home based business.

I want to quickly dispel a myth about the internet. Don't for one second think you can just throw up a site, sit back and become rich. Many would have you believe the internet is just one huge get rich quick scheme. That couldn't be farther from the truth. Done properly ebook publishing can change your financial situation dramatically but you have to put some time and effort in. This is where the Rapid Cash Generator system can be of great help.

We're not aiming to become a millionaire here. We want to build a network of mini sites that each make about 1K a month. Being able to come up with an endless amount of niche product ideas is the key here, then all you need to do is create the product.

I know what you're thinking. "All you need to do" is create a product. They're hard to create right? Well no actually you don't need to write a single sentence of your ebook. You can hire people to do so at elance.com. For around five hundred to seven hundred bucks freelance writers will create the entire book for you.

You are an internet marketer, not a writer. Have one product created, set up pay per click campaigns, write a press release and blast a few articles over the net on the topic of your ebook. Then have another one created, do the same, and just rinse and repeat.

Multiple streams of autopilot income is the secret of wealthy entrepreneurs from around the globe. Now thanks to ebooks and the internet, anyone can set up streams of income that sends money into their bank account even whilst they sleep.

Designing Your Email Newsletter

Last time, I talked about one of the first steps involved in setting up your email newsletter: Getting an Email Newsletter Service. Another commonly-asked question is how to design the newsletter to make it the most effective. This breaks down into several questions and considerations:

Should you send a text only newsletter or design it in HTML? Both options have benefits and issues.

I recommend that most small business use an HTML newsletter because it's much more effective to use graphics to extend your brand. Also graphics are more memorable and can help you to communicate your business's message in a way that's, well, worth the proverbial 1000 words.

Some of the ways to make this already-effective tool even more effective include:

- Use a customized design and not a template. One of the main jobs of a newsletter is to extend your business's brand. If you use a template the design will not be related to your company's brand definition or brand identity. This mismatch will make your business look inconsistent and less professional. Make sure that your customized design includes not only your logo but also elements of your Visual Vocabulary. This will further distinguish your newsletter from your competitions.

If you do have to use a template for a short time while you work the cost of a customized design into your budget, use the simplest template available on your service - even a blank page with your logo on it will work as a temporary measure!

- Use branding as bookends for your newsletter. Designing every square inch of your newsletter is overkill. You don't need to include graphics and illustration through the whole thing to get the benefit of using graphics. Designing each element of the newsletter will also make it more difficult to use your newsletter as a template. If you design in an article space that's a few paragraphs long and then write an article that's bigger than the allowed space you're going to have to spend time customizing your newsletter design to fit in the longer article. Or what if you decide to change the sections in your newsletter around. Or you decide to promote different things or include different types of information and your newsletter design has very specific structured areas. Instead, you can design a header and footer to "bookend" the content of your newsletter. You can then code the rest in plain HTML. This will create a branded newsletter that looks great and is flexible enough for you to use as needed each time you send it out.

- Don't make your newsletter code complicated. Most email programs can only read the simplest of HTML code. So design your newsletter with this in mind and code the newsletter using very basic HTML. This means you should use a table format, regular font tags, bold and italic tags, and image tags. CSS and more complicated kinds of code won't display properly for all of your readers. Use photos and promotional illustrations to add visual interest. An all-text newsletter can look very boring - even if you have a branded header and footer. But you can use image tags to insert images throughout your newsletter to spice things up. Use highlight boxes to call attention to offers and promotions. You can use a colored background on a text box to differentiate important copy from the rest of your text. This can make those calls to action and promotional boxes more noticeable. Once a reader notices them they're more likely to read them and react! Taking these tips into account will help you to create a HTML newsletter that represents your brand well. It will also look memorable and help you to stay in touch with your prospects and clients - and sell your products and services.

Linkshare and Clickbank: What are affiliate networks?

Getting involved in affiliate marketing is a very attractive activity for many. You can promote products with effective and cheap advertising methods. You may be working a full time job, and want to make more money without having to grind out an 8 hour shift. Working full time can be a draining activity!

You may be interested in affiliate marketing online, but are not sure where to find quality affiliate programs. A good place to find affiliate programs and products is on an affiliate network like Linkshare or Clickbank.

So what are affiliate networks? An affiliate network brings merchants and affiliates together. An affiliate network is a place that merchants place their products, acting like a marketplace for affiliates. So if you wanted to find an affiliate product or program to promote, you could check an affiliate network for a list of affiliate products.

There are many advantages to going with an affiliate network like Linkshare or Clickbank. Here is a list of a few benefits.

• Affiliate networks handle money issues with merchants. You focus on marketing, and the affiliate networks will make sure you get paid when sales are made.

• Working with an affiliate network allows for fewer checks to cash. If, for example, you promote 10 products with one affiliate network, your monthly check will come in one check instead of 10. This makes it easier to get money and keep track of things.

• Affiliate networks provide statistics on all products. You can research which products are converting sales. So once you pick a product with a good sales page, you’ll be rest assured that the sales page will do its job, once you send visitors there.

• Affiliate networks provide monthly reports that allow you to track commissions. The monthly reports will help you decide whether it’s worth continuing to promote certain products.

Two of the biggest affiliate networks are Linkshare and Clickbank. You can browse these two affiliate networks, and compare products and commission rates. One thing you need to know is that affiliate networks like Linkshare and Clickbank pay lower commission rates to affiliates, because they have to pay for the costs of running their business.

So do you need to sign up with an affiliate network? The answer to that is situational. You can sign up directly with a merchant and possibly get higher commission rates, but this isn’t something you can always do. Certain merchants have their products available only on affiliate networks.

Overall, joining an affiliate network is not a bad idea. Whether you start earning serious money is more dependent on your marketing strategies and how hard you work, rather than the commission rate differences between an affiliate network and signing up directly with a merchant.

To your success!

Top 10 Asia Pacific Operators

Over the the last few quarters there has been little or no change at the top of the list of of the Asia Pacific region's largest operators. China mobile is still the number one and is still by far the largest mobile operator in the world, with the best part of 300M customers as at December 2006. However, this is not to suggest that the Asia Pacific mobile market is anything other than highly dynamic - five of the ten largest companies in the region were not in the top ten last year and two were barely in the top 20.

The main difference between this year and the end of 2005 is the appearance of no fewer than five companies from the Indian sub-continent, four of them from India itself.

At the end of December, as noted, China Mobile headed the list with 299.9m customers, or 28.7% of the region's 1.05bn total. This, in fact represents a material loss of regional market share, as one year earlier the number one accounted for over 30% of the region's 817m customers. China Unicom, the world's second largest national operator shared the same fate - but to an even greater degree. It closed the year with a total of 142.4m customers, or 13.6% of the regional total. That's a full two percentage points down on the 2005 figure. This is by far the largest drop in market share in the region and in fact, it is measurable on global scale- Unicom accounted for 5.86% of the 2005's subscribers but only 5.26% of the 2006 total. Only one other member of the top ten - Japan's KDDI - accounted for a decline proportion of the global total year on year.

Japan has two representatives on the list, the aforementioned KDDI and DoCoMo, which is the third largest company in the region. the Japanese number one ended 2006 with 52.2m customers almost exactly 5% of the regional total. This is a marginal year on year increase, which is mirrored at the global level with a rise from 1.84% to 1.93% Fourth place is taken by Telkomsel, as it was last year. The Indonesian number one is some way behind DoCoMo, with 35.6m customers, and the main threat to DoCoMo's third place probably comes from further west, from India, Indian companies account for four of the remaining six places and as we shall see in the next section, all are growing dramatically Bharti is the largest of the four, with 31.97m customers, which gives it fifth place. It was eighth last year. During the last twelve months Bharti has added more than one percent to its regional market share, which has risen from 2.00% to 3.06%. It now has comfortably more than one percent of the global market.

Bharti's growth has been matched by Reliance, which has moved into the top ten from 11th place last year. It ended 2006 with just under 30m customers, or 2.87% regional market share. The next company is on the way down - and perhaps out- of the top ten, KDDI added a fair number of customers to close 2006 with 25.48m, but dropped from fifth to seventh lossing relative status along the way in 2005, it had a 2.60% market share in the region and just under one percent globally:; these percentages have now dropped from 2.44% to 0.94% respectively. With numbers eight, nine and ten all growing far faster, a drom to tenth next year seems inevitable. KDDI is helped by the fact that numbers 11 to 16 are all heading in the same (relative) direction.

India's BSNL seems certain to overtake it, if not in the first quarter, then the second. BSNL moved up from 13th to eighth, ending the year with 23.62m customers, for a gain of just under 0.5% in regional market share. However, BSNL's position is not invulnerable and in all probability, it will be overtaken by its national rival Hutch, which Vodafones is in the process of acquiring. Hutch has moved from 16th to ninth, the largest positional gain over the year. It began the period with 1.40% market share and ended it with 2.23%, which equates to 23.3m customers

Finally, tenth place is taken by Pakistan Mobile., which now has 22.49m customers. It too moved up seven places during the year, but added slightly less to its market share in the process than Hutch.

What of the rest of last year's list? The sub-continentals have relegated them to a position outside the regional top ten and in all probability that is where they will remain from now on. SK Telecom, last year's number six is now eleventh, AIS is down from seventh to twelfth place, Smart has fallen from ninth to 13th and Softbank, the former Vodafone Japan, has collapsed to 16th, after tenth last year. Proportionately, the largest losers were SK and Softbank, which now account for 45bp and 37bp less of the regional market than they did last year.

We should point out here that as at the tome of writing we await with baited breath news of the effects of the Indian Department of Telecommunications mobile customer verification procedure. Preliminary figures from CDMA/GSM operator Reliance show that disconnections from unverified accounts amount for 15% of its total base, and the numbers could be worse from the pure GSM companies. However, whilst the Indian operators may fall in the rankings as a result, the cull is a one-off, and there us no doubt that they will quickly recover the lost ground.

Learning About Payment Processors And What To Take Into Consideration When Choosing One

Payment processors are very important to your business, as they are how you will receive payment for your products or services. Your first thing to do is to set up a merchant account using one of these services.

Defining a Merchant Account: It's a system set up on your website to accept payments. This permits your buyers to pay online via your web page. It's important that you provide a secure payment page where buyers can use a credit card to purchase something. A wide variety of merchant accounts are available to you. It is smart to give your customers many choices in the type of payment processor.

You may ask, what are the different fees involved? There are a lot of various different sorts of payment systems. Some charge monthly for the service, and others will charge you to set up an account and then a fee per transaction. Before entering into any agreement with a company, be sure you look into their policies. Some companies have hidden fees that you won't know about until you have started. Still others will try to bind you into a 6 month or 1 year term. Watch for signs of these factors, as you never want your business to be in jeopardy due to your payment processor.

Different processors: For online business, Paypal, Clickbank and 2checkout are cost effective, easy to use and easy to set up on a regular business website. These 3 payment systems can be set up with very little knowledge of HTML. These are known as third party systems.

So how do these systems work? They will take your buyers to their secure page to buy your products and services. This means that it is not necessary for you to set up a secure page yourself. Now there are some advantages to using 3rd party processors.

1. They offer ease of shopping for your customer because they accept credit cards. Huge amounts of transactions occur online, and you need to be able to take advantage of that. 2. They all have tutorials and instructions on how to set them up, and you don't have to use just one, but can have a number of them. 3. If you have any problems with fraud etc. they will handle the situations for you. 4. You can use your own bank account for receiving payment.

Setting up a payment processor:

Visit the home page of any of these payment processors and you can see their tutorials and instructions on set up There are many different tools offered.

Shopping carts are a good way to go when you have many products you are offering on your site. Shopping carts are a virtual grocery cart. Shopping carts are convenient and will encourage multiple buying. This system will work well for online stores and sites with multiple related products like hosting companies..

There is always the positive and negative aspect to any processor system. I recommend Paypal as it is fast in transferring money directly to your account.

Clickbank is a good choice to have an affiliate program in place in your business. It costs a bit to set up (around $50) but they pay every two weeks and are very reliable.

2Checkout has been used by many marketers. They have a very good reputation. All will charge you a fee or percentage of sales, so check with each for the best rates.

Analysts are Stunned by Lucrative Online Skill Games Market

The online skill games market is raking in an astounding $412.00 (USD) per second, sending analysts into a frenzy.

As rapidly as the internet marketplace has grown overall, the market for skill games has grown at nearly four times the rate. The online games market is on target to grow from the $3.4 billion (USD) produced in 2005 to more than $13 billion ($412 per second) by year 2011, according to the most recent report from analyst firm DFC Intelligence.

$5.2 billion dollars is the genre's current market valuation (2007). That works out to approximately $164.00 USD per second. Within the next five minutes, players worldwide will spend almost $50,000 on games online.

The combination of this amount being spent and the projected future growth makes this industry a hot ticket for companies like MTV Networks, who are eager to get their slice of the action.

What is the meaning of a "game of skill"? "A skill based game is a internet game played in a tournament format, with each player paying a cash entry fee to play, and with a cash or merchandise prize going to the winner or winners of the tournament" according to The International Game Developers Association.

Skill games derive their name from their greater dependence on ability, and much lower dependence on luck, to successfully win at them. This is a critical point to keep in mind, as games relying solely on luck or chance may be restricted by anti-gambling legislation.

Is it legal to play or provide skill-based games? In the United States, the Skill Game Protection Act, or HR 2610, was introduced on June 7, 2007 by Robert Wexler (Congressman, NY), making games of skill, such as poker, bridge, and chess, legal to play and provide online access to for profit.

In other countries, games that rely on a player's skill or ability, and leave little influence of their outcome to luck, are typically legal. Before attempting to test your ability at skill games, however, it would be advisable to make sure you're familiar with the regulations in your country.

As many online gambling sites worldwide are being shut down for legal reasons, and with many of these sites' patrons moving towards online skill games, the market for online skill games will likely continue to flourish.

How can I make money with online skill games? To make money from online games of skill, you may (1.) Become skilled enough at a few online games to consistently win money and prizes in tournaments, or (2.) Start a gaming website, and have people pay you for the privilege of playing your games. The latter is inherently more profitable, although setting up a gaming website can be a somewhat arduous endeavor.

As online games allow skilled persons the opportunities to both make money and indulge their competitive spirit with players from around the world, their allure can be difficult to ignore for many people.

A Brief Explanation Of E-gold

E-gold is known as private currency as it is not issued by governments. E-gold is integrated into an account based payment system that empowers people to use gold as money. E-gold was created in response to this need.

E-gold transactions — a "spend" — are completed electronically, usually using the web interface, and they always settle by weight of the metal even if denominated in some other way.

E-gold is a form of commodity money, so it is subject to the price fluctuations of that commodity. E-gold does not sell its e-metal directly to users. E-gold, unlike e-Bullion for instance, does not sell digital currency directly to the user.

E-gold charges an account fee (or Agio Fee) of 1% per annum (deducted in monthly payments) on all e-metal stored. E-gold spends clear instantly, in contrast to checks or credit card transactions. E-gold clients can place a referral link on a website to generate a few cents in referral income.

E-gold has been perceived as the medium of choice for many online con-artists, with pyramid schemes and High Yield Investment Programs ("HYIPs") commonplace. E-gold and OmniPay have also been accused of being a medium for money laundering, although this is questionable given that there were only 24 customer accounts holding over 10kg of gold (approximate value$200,000) by April 2006.

E-gold has a long history of cooperation with law enforcement agencies in the US and worldwide, providing data and investigative assistance in response to lawful requests. E-gold's Terms of Use stipulate that all transactions are final and E-gold cannot be held responsible for any spend. E-gold offers no protection whatsoever if an attacker succeeds in obtaining the user's E-gold account number the user's E-gold password access to the user's registered email account (web-based email accounts without a secure login are especially vulnerable).

E-gold is also contractually prohibited from freezing E-gold accounts or releasing E-gold account information in the absence of a court order or subpoena.

E-gold cleared an administrative issue and as of July 14, 2006, it is properly registered in Nevis. E-gold does maintain an "Examiner", a web page with updated statistics on outstanding liabilities and the total amount of each precious metal in its holding.

E-gold runs a non-reversible transaction policy, meaning that there is no protection for purchasers if vendors fail to supply goods.

E-gold is an online currency 100% backed by solid gold, at all times in bullions.

E-gold is integrated into an account based payment system. E-gold is considered a pioneer in the field of alternative currencies. E-gold Investments Online is an internet representation of an offshore company registered in Belize. E-gold Investments Online is the participant of one of such programs.

An E-gold exchanger is someone who exchanges national currencies for e-currencies. There is a charge of a few cents to make each E-gold "spend" and E-gold itself now earns well over a million USD per year from fees.

E-gold also operates outside the radar screen of federal regulators and the world's financial establishment. E-gold sells the customer gold, silver, platinum, or palladium -- whatever the customer chooses -- at a price determined by E-gold , which is roughly the going spot price for each precious metal.

E-gold can also be used by small businesses abroad that don't qualify to accept credit cards or don't want to pay credit-card company fees of about 3% per charge.

E-gold has struck a chord especially with members of libertarian and antigovernment groups E-gold 's antigovernment message, along with the apparent privacy of E-gold , have created some rabid enthusiasts.

E-gold may appeal to those who share the company's philosophy about the value of gold as currency. E-gold is a major attraction to "gold bugs": people who invest in the precious metal and believe money ought to be anchored to it. E-gold boasts that its digital currency is backed by a stash of gold bars stored in London and Dubai. E-gold also operates outside the radar screen of federal regulators and the world's financial establishment.

E-gold is a closed system, the only way to obtain E-gold is by receiving a transfer from someone who already has some, and the company maintains a permanent record of all transfers.

E-gold investing is a all about a system that allows you to profit from the money that is being traded everyday on the internet. An E-gold account can be used by anyone who is or wants to engage in one transaction or the other on the Internet. E-gold is like a bank that simply keeps your money stable and handles your transfers for a very low fee.

E-gold machine is money-making system that is created for any E-gold account holder who want to earn money automatically. E-gold is succeeding where other electronic payment initiatives are failing because it is designed specifically for worldwide eCommerce.

E-gold is the store of wealth in cases when inflation and other circumstances had caused credibility loss in the Federal government and the paper they print so eagerly lately. E-gold is second only to PayPal in popularity.

E-gold is ideally suited to international transactions because weight units have a precise, invariable, internationally-recognized definition and precious metal prices are less volatile than paper currencies. E-gold can be thought of as a foreign currency that has a value relationship to your usual currency and to other foreign currencies.

E-gold isn’t banking, so you won’t be paid interest on the metal in your account.

E-gold, however, as a matter of incontrovertible fact, is the most effective of all online payment systems in detecting and interdicting abuse of its system for child pornography related payments.

E-gold has settled over 70M transactions and has over 3 million accounts in more than 165 countries and has the credibility of significant tenure, having been in operation online for almost 10 years. While other payment systems have come and gone losing millions of investment dollars. E-gold is a robust, secure system including its AccSent program and Secure Random Keyboard that combats password theft and unauthorized account access. E-gold users can be assured that their online transactions are private, but those who may wish to hide illicit transactions should know they are not anonymous.

E-gold is accepted at online bookstores, web hosting and web design companies, many auction sites, travel agencies, and many other retailers. E-gold s unique features and investigative protocols make it the poorest choice a criminal could make.

E-gold attorney Andrew Ittleman said no consumer can join the service without depositing money through other banking institutions. E-gold does not offer authorizing credit cards transactions or funding you E-gold accounts directly from credit or debit card. E-gold does not have any geographic restrictions, so anyone can join. E-gold allows multiple accounts for individuals and does not check your personal data (unless account is blocked).

E-gold can also be used by small businesses abroad that don't qualify to accept credit cards or don't want to pay credit-card company fees of about 3% per charge. E-gold 's antigovernment message, along with the apparent privacy of E-gold , have created some rabid enthusiasts. E-gold may appeal to those who share the company's philosophy about the value of gold as currency. E-gold appeals to "gold bugs": people who invest in the precious metal and believe money ought to be anchored to it.

The bottom is that E-gold has some drawbacks, but in my opinion its still one of two best online payment processors available.

The Day God Threw Me A Curve Ball on A 3-2 Count and Struck Me Out!

I thought to myself what else could possible go wrong? I have had turmoil almost my whole life but this I thought was the end. We hit a brick wall going 50 mph. My husband just found out his management job was going to end, you heard it before, the Company was bought out by a bigger company and the site where you work will be shut down. It was June of 2005; my husband no longer had a job. This affected our entire family, not only financially, but also emotionally.

We continued on struggling the entire time. Remember, previously he was in a management position making a fairly decent salary, now that amount was dropped in half. Although our bills remained the same they didn't drop in half. Of course I still worked the 9-5, He had a temporary job with a staffing agent. He was on unemployment for 6 months first. He worked that job for a year then the contract ended. You might me wondering, if he was a manager before why is it so hard to find a decent management job again. Well The position he was in, we had worked his up the cooperate ladder, he does not have BA. Therefore trying to get a decent paying job was very trying.

SO, back to my story, his contract ended in Nov. 2006; he applied at my employer as a purchasing specialist. That job lasted about a month.

He had been having severe pain in his neck and left arm. He had been seen for this many times before, but now it was different. We made an appointment with an Orthopedic Surgeon for a consult. His appointment was on 12/06/06. The surgeon told us that surgery was the only answer, otherwise he could end up paralyzed. We were floored, SURGERY oh my goodness. The Dr. told us he would have to have 3 level fusion in his neck. Basically they would use two metal plates and bone from his hip and screw them together.

I was very optimistic coming from a medical background I knew the benefits would out way the risk. Besides my Husband was only 39 years old he would recover fast and well.

So surgery happened on 1/23/07, keep in mind I'm the only one with an income. We have two children a mortgage and car payments. We applied for Social Security Disability, I thought for sure we would be fine. My husband could stay home and recover from this major surgery and we would have checks coming in from Social Security a long with my income.

I could not have any more wrong!

We were denied by Social Security, therefore he has no income what so ever. We are struggling more than ever, with our bills.

It has been 7 months since his surgery!

I have the answer to my prayers, its like God gave me a second chance at bat, this time only throwing me good fast balls that are easy to hit. I have learned a system that allows me to stay home with my husband and two children and make more money than both of us together have ever made. It does take time to learn and you have to be dedicated or you will fall. The best advice I can give is first remember where I came from, the bottom of a very deep hole, to being able to fill in the hole with concrete as to never being there again. Have an open mind, be positive, be patient (I SURELY HAVE), and enjoy life. My motto is why let life run you, run you’re own life. So please don't think you are the only one that has been struck out I have been there, now I only hit home runs, you too can benefit from this system just give it a chance to work for you.

For these reason and many others I have chosen to stay homes with my family and create wealth for years to come. I am able to sleep in, go on vacation without limits, watch my children grow, become a better partner to my spouse, and last but not least have FREEDOM from the 9-5. So has you can see I have chosen the path that fits me and the lifestyle I have always wanted, hopefully you too can get the same results. So here is the answer to your prayers, http://www.cash-2-day.com

Let financial freedom ring!

Ten Ways to Piss Off You Readers, Kill Your Blog, and Get Banned From the Internet!

Everywhere I look there is blogging advice on how to increase your traffic, pagerank, and readership on the net. There’s syndication, RSS feeds, and any type of social topic you would ever need. However, nobody tells you how to stop the traffic, alienate your fan base; so I thought I should try.

1. Active in blogging? Why not put as many popups on your page as humanly possible? Make it as difficult as possible for a reader to navigate away from your page and ensure that he will never come back! If you are not comfortable with popups, AdSense ads after every post and every type of widget that you can find will do the trick.

2. Too many comments? Turn them off, don’t respond when they are posted, and return fire with fire. People like to feel engaged when they read your content. Don’t let ‘em!

3. Got an RSS feed? Get rid of it, or better yet, find a blog that you absolutely hate and offer it as the feed through your site. It all looks like XML code until you plug it into a reader anyway. Your readers won’t know what hit them.

4. You have a bookmarking widget; Digg, del.icio.us, News Vine, Reddit? Aren’t there equivalent bookmarking tools for adult sites? Couldn’t you use the same graphic and just replace the hyperlink? Hmmm, if you want to get some hate mail, this may be the way to do it. When responding to the hate mail, please refer to item 2 above.

5. Member of MySpace, Facebook, Friendster, Xanga, LinkedIn, MyBloglog and other networks that syndicate your content? This one’s easy, don’t complete your profile, syndicate content that is not yours, be un-genuine, and do not respond to comments. We keep going back to step 2 for some reason.

6. Overload your readers with useless bookmarks. Stop writing content and go hog wild with your Sumble Upon and del.icio.us bookmarking Wordpress widgets. Nobody likes going to a blog that has nothing other than a collection of non-related bookmarks. No content, just bookmarks; nothing slows down traffic like a great link farm.

7. DUMP THE TAGS!!!! Nobody will read your blog if nobody can find it. If you have a search term that inadvertently shows up under a Google search, repeat it in the text as many times as possible. A black-hat trick or two will also work to get you banned from Google.

8. All text and no pictures makes for a very boring and unpleasant blog. Pictures are worth a thousand words, and people love to look at and share video. Why do you think YouTube sold for a billion dollars? If you don’t want traffic, do not use flickr, youtube, or other multi-media sharing service.

9. Whatever you do, do not reference blog posts that you had writer earlier. This would entice readers to go further into your blog and spend more time there. Why would you want that?

10. This one I had to think long and hard about. How do you get blacklisted from as many sites as possible, kicked off search engines and banned from the internet? One word….SPAM!!!

TAGS: spam, banned, rss, ugly, kicked off, no readers, bad blog, bookmark widgets, digg, anti-comments, popups, tricks, reference, readers, ugly blog, mybloglog, wordpress, blogger, stumble upon

How To Develop Your Information Marketing Strategy

Information marketing - also called infopreneuring - is a method to take information you own, have licence to, or can have created for you, and then offer it to others for a profit or any other advantage.

If in the process you also enrich your audience, you have a mutually beneficial process in place - one which will help grow and build your value as an information marketing specialist.

To get maximum leverage from your information marketing efforts, you must have an integrated strategy that will guide all your efforts at promoting yourself as an infopreneur.

1. What is your 'product'?

Any information marketing strategy begins by knowing what you plan to offer. In other words, what is your product?

It might be a book you have written. Or an audio tape you have recorded. Or a DVD movie you shot of yourself doing something or teaching people what you know about a topic.

Or it may be more intangible, like your time on the telephone or in person, or your presence at a seminar or conference. Whatever format you choose to deliver your information becomes your 'product' - and your information marketing strategy will vary depending on that.

2. Who is your 'audience'?

Every information marketing system is targeted at a crowd of prospects. The bigger this crowd, the better. But for maximum impact, you need to know more about your audience.

Who or what is your perfect target market? It could be individuals, or groups, or corporations and businesses, or countries, organizations, even brands or ethnic groups.

Your information marketing strategy will be tailored to fit the specific needs, wants, desires, characteristics, preferences and tastes of this audience - and will get you massive results from your infopreneuring activities.

3. Where do they live or gather?

For targeting your information marketing efforts to get the biggest return on investment per dollar spent, you need to know where your market lives or gathers - so you can get your marketing message in front of them most effectively.

An ad for a Lexus sportscar would do badly in a soup kitchen. And a promotion for a golfing book would get very few sales in a nursery school. Yet most information marketing activities fail to specifically target their market - and not surprisingly fail.

4. What is your profit model?

Have you heard the phrase: "Build a better mousetrap and they'll beat a trail to your front door?"

Well, maybe they will - but unless you've figured out a way to sell that mousetrap at higher than your cost, or found another way to turn a profit, all that demand won't do you a bit of good.

As an information marketing strategist, you need to be clear on your profit model - and figure out your marketing budget or the amount you can afford to spend to attract new customers, without losing money or for maximum profits.

This barely scratches the surface of information marketing strategy. There are many more things to consider - and many nuances to master in these broad categories. And that is why it is critically important to keep learning, growing your knowledge base, and studying other material that teach you to be a better infopreneur.

Information marketing is a valuable skill to own in today's connected online world. Be a master infopreneur, and you can build massive wealth and gain financial freedom faster than ever before.

Google Adsense - Ads That Make You Money!

Imagine... being paid checks by the largest and most popular search engine, simply for displaying a few ads on your website for FREE?

Well, this is exactly what the Google Adsense program is all about! And when you think about it, it's a revolutionary way of earning yourself a useful online side income. But let's back up a bit...

In the past, many webmasters displayed ads from various companies, via pop-ups, banners, pop-ins and pop-unders. However, visitors to these sites soon got tired of these advertising methods - I mean, who'd like to go to a website where they'd have to close pop-up windows every other minute? This resulted in a dramatic loss of traffic, and in turn made many webmasters to lose profits.

That's when Google announced a novel program – Google Adsense. Instead of having to use banners and pop-ups to advertise companies and gain a commission, website publishers could now earn a decent profit by displaying unobtrusive text ads on the content pages of their website. Since the ads displayed were often directly related to what your visitors are looking for on your site, you had a way to both monetize and subtly enhance your web content.

One of the main reasons for its popularity, is the fact that the Google Adsense program is incredibly accurate. By stepping beyond the boundaries of simple keyword matching, it has quickly become one of the most prominent tools to display accurate advertisements. A list of keywords is still used as the basis of triggering ads, but complex algorithms now ensure that non-relevant ads no longer show up on your site.

Google Adsense also gives you the option to be selective about the type of ads you wish to display. This helps you direct your visitors towards certain type of products and avoid non-relevant or competitor ads. To make it possible for everyone to integrate Adsense into their sites, the program offers a wide variety of settings that allow you to alter the ads' size and appearance.

Google offers their Adsense program to just about all website owners. After signing up for the program, you'll receive an HTML/ XML code to paste on all of your web pages. Then, Google will dynamically generate ads that are relevant to your web content. Whenever a visitor clicks on one of the Adsense ads on your site, Google credits your account with a percentage of money that was paid by the advertiser for that ad.

To sign up for this terrific program, hop over to http://www.google.com/adsense It's super easy to set up - just a few clicks of your mouse and you're ready to go! Once you start displaying targeted Google Adsense ads on your website, you can expect to generate a sizable income depending on the traffic flow to your site and how many visitors actually click on the ads.

The Blockbuster Benefits Of Selling Information On The Net

An entrepreneur on the Information Superhighway sells information, in fact, almost all successful online businesses sell information in some form or another. The most famous example is Bill Gates. He has become the one the richest man on Earth because he sells software, which is an information product.

So what’s the big deal in selling information products online? Let's check out some of the benefits in doing so -

1) Low Start-up Costs

In comparison to a traditional bricks and clicks business, an online business requires low start up costs. For example, a franchise will set you back as much as $500,000 or more just for the rights to get started. You can start your own information business for less than $1,000.

2) Low Inventory Costs

You keep little or no inventory. Most information products can be produced and compiled into electronic format. As you can see, today information products are ebooks, manuals, as well as software. You have no inventory cost except investing in some software in the first place. Compare that to a traditional publishing business which might cost you thousands of dollars just for printing, labor, storage, etc.

3) Zero Shipping Costs

Don't overlook the cost of shipping in a traditional business. Just imagine how much money you might lose if the order was returned due to credit card fraud, a customer request for a refund, or product damage during the course of shipping? On the other hand, the delivery of electronic information products is safe, it is instant, and it is online. The only costs you bear are for web hosting and insignificant credit card processing fees.

4) High Mark-Ups

Information products have a high mark-up because customers are not paying for the format in which the products are delivered. They are paying for the valuable information contained within. Actual production costs are irrelevant and can not be applied when dealing with these types of products.

5) Your Business Runs Entirely on Autopilot!

Your whole business can be set to run on autopilot, right from customer follow-ups, to taking orders, credit card processing, to products download, and delivery. The system runs 24/7, 100% automatically, while you work on other projects, or spend time on vacation with your family. That's really a dream business!

To kick start your online information selling business, you will need to have a set of your own high-demand products. You may want to create your very own product from scratch, or you can purchase resell rights to an existing product that already has demand. The latter will be a great option if you don't have the time or would rather save yourself the hassle of creating your own product from scratch.

In either case, be sure to do your own market research before attempting any course of action. This should prevent you from getting into buying or producing unwanted products or products without market.

How To Create Your Own e-Commerce Site

E-commerce is touted as one of the most viable online business opportunities on the Web today. In comparison to traditional brick and mortar businesses, e-commerce site requires minimal start-up cost and is relatively low-risk. However that does not imply creating an e-commerce site is a simple process, neither does it guarantee your future success. The purpose of this article is to walk you through the necessary steps and plans you would need in order to set up a successful e-commerce site.

Un-earth Your Niche

The very first thing to do is find your niche. Examine your hobbies and interests for potential business ideas. If you love soccer, consider selling soccer supplies or team uniforms, online. Focusing on your expertise or something you have great passion for would give you an advantage over competitors who do not have in-depth knowledge of that niche.

Research Your Niche

Once you've whittled down a few ideas, explore each one further. Ask yourself these questions: How many people are looking for your services? Where do they go and find people like yourself? How many searches are created for your product or service on Google? You may not have a budget to create demand, so it's safer and cheaper to go where the demand already exists.

Scope out Your Competitors

Research your competitors inside out. Spend time to check out their websites and compare their products and services. Give yourself an idea of what you’re up against, so you can create your e-commerce site as professional as, or even better than theirs.

Write Your Business Plan

You want to have a foolproof business plan for your business. Work out a detailed formula - including your site theme, goals, business strategies. It's also a good idea to keep a record of expenditures, sales, profits etc. Your business cannot just be a 'me-too' business online. Develop a powerful USP (Unique Selling Position) that sets you apart from your competitors and makes you stand out from the crowd!

Create Your Website

Register a good domain name as marketing tactic. Name that ends in *.com is best of all. Try to include relevant keywords that properly describe your business or product if possible.

A well-designed website creates a good first impression with your prospects. Get yourself a professional website template at an affordable price and customize it to suit your need. Most templates can be easily customized using common HTML editors and simple graphics software.

You’ll want your website content to target specific keywords for high search engines ranking and traffic flow. This can be done by creating informative articles, product reviews, descriptions and comparisons. If you're short on time, many SEO (search engine optimization) experts are willing to help you out for a reasonable price.

Host Your Website

Find a dependable hosting company to host your website on their servers. A quick search on Google for “web hosting” should bring up hundreds of companies ready to do business with you. Select a reliable web host that provides adequate disk space and bandwidth with e-commerce scripts supporting features. Domain name-specific email accounts must also be available to give a professional image.

Your website files can be uploaded using a simple FTP program or file uploading service in your hosting account. Technical support personnel from your hosting company should walk you through the steps to upload your files and launch your website.

Implement a Shopping Cart

An e-commerce site is never complete without a secure shopping cart. The best option you can consider is a remotely hosted shopping cart which takes the burden of maintaining security and credit card numbers off your shoulder. Most remote shopping carts can be configured to look similar to your website so your customers may not realize that they have left your website when making a payment.

If a remote shopping cart is not within your budget, there are still lots of third party credit card processing companies that are ready to process your credit card orders using their merchant account for a small fee. Some popular ones to you can check out are ClickBank, PayPal and 2CheckOut.

Marketing and Promotion

You have identified your niche, set up your e-commerce site and you are good to go. Now comes the most crucial part - promoting your site! This could be a full-time career option for most people. Either you can learn to do this yourself or you can have an expert do it for you.

Begin by submitting your site to major search engines such as Google, Yahoo, Dmoz, etc. You also need to optimize your site using profitable keywords and keyword-rich content. There are lots more business promotion strategies such as advertising, link exchange, e-zine promotion etc. which you may need to explore to create your online presence and build traffic.

Setting up your e-commerce site is sure a lot of work, but it's just the first step. Making it successful is even more work, but the pay-offs can be rewarding. Remember, success can be yours provided you work hard and smart!

Make Money Selling Ebooks with CBMall

Information is one of the biggest reasons people surf the internet. Finding out how to lose weight, how to meet that special someone, how to work for yourself and fire your boss...the topics go on and on. Amongst the sites that deal with topics like this are an ever-growing collection of eBooks. eBooks are a great item to sell, as there are no printing or shipping costs. All you need is the website from which to sell eBooks.

CBMall takes care of the website for you. All you need to do is promote ebooks that are sold through CBMall, and you receive a commission on all sales through your mall. The "CB" in CBMall refers to Clickbank, which is one of the largest repositories for eBooks on the internet. CBMall takes the most popular, best selling eBooks from Clickbank and makes them available in an easy to use website that functions like an online shopping center, or "e-mall".

I purchased a CBMall back in 2005. With your purchase, you receive your own link that gives you commissions on all sales made from people who click your link. You do not need a website, which greatly reduces the amount of investment you need to make. Your CBMall account gives you access to a knowledge base of how to get started with promoting your CBMall and even offers some words of encouragement from Jeff Mulligan, creator of CBMall.

Jeff has created a great mini course on CBMall and how you can use this to develop your own online business. The course is free to take and it is a great way to check out CBMall without spending any money at all.

I have been impressed with the ease of use of CBMall, and its various features. There aren't any hidden surprise charges that come up after you buy it. The only other investment you can (and should) make is in promoting your CBMall link, since that is the way you make money through CBMall. The good news is, Jeff offers you a good amount of information on how to market and promote your CBMall. The great news is you are not forced to buy loads of software or sign up for any hosting or long term monthly service agreement.

I've promoted my CBMall through some Pay Per Click ads on Google and MIVA, as well as some Ezine ads. I've sold several products through CBMall and have built up a considerable amount of subscribers to Jeff's CBMall mini course. I will be paid commissions if any of the subscribers under my name purchase CBMall. There is some sample promotional copy for CBMall available through the site, just keep in mind you'll probably want to use your own as a lot of people will probably use the standard stuff.

CBMall gets an A+ with a big gold star. This is a great tool - just remember, you'll need to spend time and some money to get it to work for you (just like any worthwhile business venture.)

Affiliate Marketing Campaign

Some business owners opt to start an affiliate marketing campaign as part of their overall marketing strategy. In most cases the affiliate marketing campaign is only a small portion of the overall marketing strategy but there are some business owners who opt to rely exclusively on this type of marketing. The main purpose of doing this is to save money while still achieving valuable advertising. However, once a business becomes more successful they should consider being more proactive and combining affiliate marketing with other types of Internet marketing such as placing banner ads and orchestrating an email marketing campaign. This article will take a look at what affiliate marketing is and will provide insight into why this is popular and how it can be used effectively.

An affiliate marketing campaign is essentially a situation where other website owners place ads for your business on their websites. These website owners are known as affiliates. It is important to understand how this type of marketing works. In general the affiliates are given code for your banner ad to place on their website and given the freedom to promote their own website as they see fit. In promoting their website they are also attracting attention to your website because of the banner ad directing visitors to your own website.

One of the most appealing elements of affiliate marketing is the affiliate is only compensated when he produces a desired result. This means the business owner is not obligated to pay the affiliate unless the affiliate is successful. Success may be defined as generating traffic to the website, resulting in a sale or even resulting in the Internet user registering on your website or filling out a survey. The compensation for affiliates is generally based on cost per click, cost per lead or cost per sale. Cost per click and cost per lead are usually paid in terms of a flat fee which is awarded to the affiliate each time an Internet user either simply clicks through the banner ad on his website or performs a specific action after clicking through the ad. Cost per sale may result in the affiliate being awarded a flat fee or a percentage of the sale depending on the agreement between the business owner and the affiliate.

The most effective use of affiliate marketing is to actively seek out affiliates with a proven track record of promoting the businesses which they support. Most affiliate programs are open to anyone with a website and it is not necessarily damaging to allow those who are not particularly knowledgeable about marketing to run your banner ad but it is far more worthwhile to seek out affiliates who are quite adept and generating website traffic to their own website. This is important because the more visitors they receive each month the more likely your website it to receive interest from visitors who click on the affiliates banner ad.

Another aspect of affiliate marketing which can contribute to success or failure is the design of your banner ads. It is important to remember affiliate marketing is viewed the same way other types of marketing are viewed and care should be taken to create banner ads which will be appealing to your target audience. This means everything from the colors of your ad to the size and style of the font should be carefully considered to create an appealing advertisement.

The Family/Career Question…

Today time is probably the biggest commodity… in many cases more precious than money. If you think about it… there is always a way to make more money if you are willing to do whatever it takes. Once time is gone…you can't get it back. There isn't a way to make more of it or stretch it out to be longer. The only thing anyone can do is manage it and maximize it. Based on that, why would anyone want to waste it? Sounds like a strange question right? At this point you're probably saying to yourself … "no one wants to waste time" and I would agree with you. How come then… do so many people do it? Every single day!!! Time is wasted in so many ways… but the biggest seems to be based on a job when compared to family life. Did you know that the nasty morning commute eats up 1 to 2 hours a day usually... and much more for many. That can be as much as 3 weeks a year when added up! Take a 40 year career and that's 120 weeks or more than 2 years of wasted time!!! 2 YEARS!!! What would you do to keep that time? Anything? Most people would probably say yes to that. There is a way to keep more of it than you think today. Droves of American's are leaving the corporate sector to either work from home, or have their own home businesses. It's allowing them to gain some of those lost 2 years back.

If you choose to simply work at home, meaning have a job but do it at home; there are good and not so good things to consider…

Here's the good… A regular paycheck… if that's what's important to you. Ability to plan your life around your work to an extent. No up front investment… you'll still be an employee. .

Here's the not so good… Answering to a boss for your schedule. Needing a boss' approval to advance. Someone else still decides how much your time and efforts are worth. No build up of residual income.

Certainly if you choose to step out of the employee sector and into the home business owner sector there are a all kinds of advantages available to you. Again however; along with the good also comes the not so good.

Here is what a home based business can offer…

The good… You're the boss. Run your business your way and not someone else's. You create your own schedule and decide how much and when you work. You answer to your self, not a boss. You decide how much your time and efforts are worth vs. a boss. Potential build up of residual income if you choose the right business.

The not so good (or challenges)… There is an investment and working capital needed for any legitimate venture. There is no immediate gratification. You need to build your business and momentum before reaping the rewards.

With all that being said, the good far outweighs the bad. There are certainly ways to plan so that starting your business doesn't break your bank. Keep your job and start it part time or simply save up the capital needed and then make the switch.

Let's talk about the good for a second… imagine having the time to travel when you want? How about never missing your child's sports competition again? Or being available to attend all school events and never missing a birthday party celebration? What about your personal time… remember that? What would it be like to have a little of your own time more than once a year!?

Whatever your choose; feel good about your decision to take the necessary steps in discovering the fantastic potential and flexibility to work at home. Having a job or a business is up to you but; imagine the impact that your new found time freedom will really have on your family life? Let's face it; time is limited and if the opportunity is there to maximize yours, why wouldn't you take it?

3 Tops Reasons Why You Must Have Your Own Affiliate Marketing Website

Budding entrepreneurs entering the affiliate marketing business invariably struggle with many questions on the setup, methods and strategies of their new business.

In dealing with prospects on a daily basis the same question arises time and time again:

Should I get your own website? Do I need one? Will it make a difference to my affiliate sales?

If you have ever joined any affiliate programs at all then you will know that every affiliate program provides you with your own version of the merchants sales page - coded with your affiliate link, in order to track sales.

Technically it is possible to make money promoting this turnkey site that the merchant has provided. In my professional opinion and from my own experience though, this is NOT the way to go if you are serious about making your affiliate business a full-time enterprise.

Let me explain why - giving the most important points against using the affiliate website:

1. By far the most important factor is that the affiliate program can go out of business at anytime leaving any promotions that you have done for your affiliate site useless. If you have links on the www pointing to an affiliate page and the company is no longer in existence then those links will fail to work.

If you have your own website then YOU are in control. You can simply point the link on your end to a new company and thus give you a chance of building a new income stream.

2. It is undoubtedly of massive importance that you build your reputation online. If you only promote another persons website, even though it will bring you commissions, it will usually have the name of the product owner on this site. So, in this case, you are building the merchants' reputation and web presence instead of your own. Branding your name and business online will lead to further success so it's better to get YOUR name out there right from the very start.

3. Point 3 is, that with an affiliate page you don't have the ability to make changes to your webpage. Again, this is a business, so you MUST add your own uniqueness and some personality to the aspect of this business that you are presenting to the public. You CANNOT do this with the affiliate site that the merchant provides - ONLY with your own website and domain name.

So by now you may be asking for the solution. The only answer is to get a website and build YOUR own web presence and brand rather than someone elses. This way you can promote any affiliate programs you like from your new site AND you can change the links, content etc. as often as you require.

This is how I personally do it. If you visit my own sites you will see that I have added loads of my own content BUT each of the links from within that site point to affiliate product from which I will get a commission for evey sale that is made.

Do you see how this works? Do you see how it is a much better strategy than promoting an affiliate page that will NEVER belong to me?

Now, at this stage you may be terrified as to how you where you would even start to acquire your own business domain name and website.

The process is actually quite simple, once you actually begin to push through the fear and take action.

If you don't see the importance of having your own website now then believe me, it WILL become clear as you get a better understanding of online business.

For a few dollars per year for a domain name and hosting you are much better to have an affiliate website than be without one.
