Building a List—4 Steps To Finding Quality Subscribers

Building a list is important but building a list of Quality Subscribers is far more important. Anyone can just get a bunch of names and market to them but if they are not qualified for what you are offering what is the point. When you build your own e-mail list you have the ability to target the specific group that you are interested in and pick and choose who subscribes to your list. The term cherry picker comes to mind, you only want to pick the best cherries and market to them.

So how can you find quality subscribers for your list so you can make the most return on your efforts? We will review 4 steps that can help you target your list as if you were using a laser scope.

1. You need to identify your niche. This is the small area you will focus on and devote your marketing to. Is your niche related to a hobby, sport, cooking, pets what ever your niche is you have to start there. Think about who these people are, what are their interests why are they interested in this topic. What do they need, and what can help them enjoy their hobby or sport, etc better. Once you have this information you are now in a position to provide it for them. And you have just made yourself more valuable.

2. Once you find out what they need or want, once you know their interest, find or create a product around that interest or need. Use this product as a way of getting their attention. Since they don’t know you yet, the product should not cost a lot. It would even be better if it is free. Take your product that is based on the interest of your niche and now create a squeeze page around that product. A squeeze page is a web page that will allow you to capture the names of the individuals who visit the page. They will leave their name and email address in exchange for the product that you will be offering them. It is best to have a free product that has a perceived high value, that works the best. Also the product should be downloadable so they can get access on line immediately. Once their name and e-mail address has been left your auto responder (sends and tracks emails automatically) will place this information in your list and send them the free report if you are using something that can be sent through e-mail. You have now set up your capture system.

3. Since your capture system is set up now it is time to go hunting. You will try to drive traffic to your squeeze page by going where those of your niche go. What internet forums do they use? What websites do they visit? Do they view classified online adds like Craig’s list? If so spend time writing posts on these forums answering and posting questions that may interest those of your niche. After your post leave a link to your website or squeeze page. So when someone reads your post they can learn more about you and go to your site. Place ads on classified sites directing people to your site. This will help create traffic, but you should do research on other traffic creation methods.

4. The forth step to help you drive quality subscribers to your list is to write and submit articles. You will submit them to article directories that will publish them to newsletters and other information sites on the web. This will allow you to write about things that your niche is specifically interested in. It will allow them to see what you offer. At the end of the article you can place a resource box that will tell people about you and point them to where they can learn more information about your product or service. The link should point to your squeeze page.

This method can really help you to zero in specifically on your niche and create quality subscribers. List building is important to your success but by doing it the right way and pointing quality subscribers to your squeeze page, By you knowing what your niche needs will help you progress more rapidly.

So go and create your list.
